Roasted Shishito Peppers

Mellow, doux poivrons avec une étrange surprise épicée, les shishitos sont incroyablement faciles à préparer et délicieux à gribouiller. Ce traitement est à la dérive avec des Nuts pour fromage, ce qui lui donne une variété de saveurs. On dit que 1 poivrons sur dix sont épicés, ce qui en fait un plat amusant à servir aux fêtes.

Ingrédients

  • 25 shishito peppers
  • 1 120g package of Nuts for Cheese Smoky Artichoke and Herb
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Zest and juice of 1/2 a lemon

Instructions

  • Set oven to broil on high and allow to preheat for 15 minutes.
  • Remove cheese from fridge and place on counter to soften.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss peppers in olive oil, garlic powder, cumin and salt. Spread out evenly on a baking sheet and transfer to oven to broil.
  • Broil on high for about 12 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning. Flip the peppers about halfway through to ensure even charring on both sides.
  • To serve, zest and squeeze half a lemon over the peppers. Drizzle with softened cheese and enjoy immediately.
