Spicy Black Bean Dip

Nothing beats a quick and easy dip when you’re prepping for a party! Save this spicy black bean dip for when you need to whip up something fast and healthy.

Spicy Black Bean Dip Recipe

Servings: 1.5 cups
Vegan

Ingredients

  • 1/2 white onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp chipotle powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 (13.5oz) can black beans
  • 1/2 cup Que Pasa Mexicana Medium Salsa
  • Que Pasa Yellow Tortilla Chips, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, cook the onion and garlic with a splash of water over medium heat until soft, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, chipotle powder, and cayenne powder, and stir to combine. Cook for about 30 seconds, then add the beans and salsa and stir to combine.
  3. Remove from heat and transfer mixture to a food processor. Pulse until desired texture is achieved (leave it chunky or smooth it out). Serve with tortilla chips.
