Roasted Tomatillo Salsa

Give your party guests a warm, inviting dip for their chips. Feel free to add more peppers if you love spice!


  • 10 tomatillos
  • 1/2 cup chopped white onion
  • 2 jalapenos
  • 2 large whole garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 8 sprigs of fresh cilantro
  • Que Pasa Yellow Tortilla Chips


  1. Remove husk wash tomatillos and cut in half. Roast tomatillos with onion, garlic and jalapenos, at 450°F, for 15 minutes or until tender and slightly blistered.
  2. Transfer to a blender with water, salt and cilantro. Blend until smooth. Chill for 2 hours before serving. Adjust salt to taste.
  3. Serve with Que Pasa Yellow Tortilla Chips
