How to Make Roasted Shishito Peppers

Mellow, mild peppers with the odd spicy surprise, shishitos are insanely easy to prepare and delicious to nibble on. This treat is drizzled with Nuts for Cheese, giving it a variety of flavors. It is said 1 in ten peppers are spicy, making them a fun dish to serve up at parties.

How to Make Roasted Shishito Peppers Recipe

Cook time: 12 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 25 shishito peppers
  • 1 120g package of Nuts for Cheese Smoky Artichoke and Herb
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Zest and juice of 1/2 a lemon

Instructions

  1. Set oven to broil on high and allow to preheat for 15 minutes.
  2. Remove cheese from fridge and place on counter to soften.
  3. In a mixing bowl, toss peppers in olive oil, garlic powder, cumin and salt. Spread out evenly on a baking sheet and transfer to oven to broil.
  4. Broil on high for about 12 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning. Flip the peppers about halfway through to ensure even charring on both sides.
  5. To serve, zest and squeeze half a lemon over the peppers. Drizzle with softened cheese and enjoy immediately.
