Honey Almond Gorilla Munch Squares

These sweet treats are fantastic lunch-box surprises and easy to make with the kids. Gluten-free and full of flavour, they make for a great addition to any party table.

Honey Almond Gorilla Munch Squares Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup brown rice syrup
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup roasted unsalted almonds, coarsely chopped
  • 1 box (284 g) Gorilla Munch (about 5 1/2 cups)

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9-inch square baking pan; set aside.
  2. In saucepan set over medium heat, stir together butter, honey, brown rice syrup and salt.
  3. Bring to boil.
  4. Boil, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
  6. Pour in almonds and cereal, stirring to coat.
  7. Immediately scrape into prepared pan.
  8. Press down into even layer with greased spatula.
  9. Cool completely.
  10. Cut into 9 squares.
