As we celebrate the 15th anniversary of Love Crunch, it’s a meaningful moment to reflect on how this beloved brand has grown and given back over CAD $50 million to support food banks in the U.S. and Canada.
The Beginning of a Passionate Journey
Love Crunch was first introduced on March 5, 2010 when Nature’s Path president and CEO Arjan Stephens and his wife Dr. Rimjhim Duggal Stephens co-created this special, organic granola blend as a wedding favor. Instead of traditional gifts, they asked their loved ones to give back through acts of service and created Love Crunch to thank them. This heartfelt gesture grew into something much bigger: Love Crunch became a favorite product, and they created the Bite4Bite program to stay true to its original purpose of giving back and sharing love.
A unique blend of organic oats, dark chocolate, and other premium ingredients, Love Crunch isn’t just any granola—it was a labor of love, with our core values of sustainability and kindness baked into every bite. From the very start, the granola was created with the goal of nourishing people not just with food, but with a sense of purpose, and generosity.
Over the years, Love Crunch has continued to grow in popularity, delighting customers with irresistible flavors such as Peanut Butter Protein, Chocolate Almond Butter Protein, Dark Chocolate & Red Berries, and Dark Chocolate & Peanut Butter. For over a decade, we have exclusively sourced 100% organic and Fair Trade cacao and chocolate ingredients. This commitment aims to support community development projects and more socially and environmentally friendly practices. In 2024, Nature’s Path, adhering to the FLOCERT Standard, paid over CAD $190,000 in Fair Trade premiums via our supplier partners. These funds have been used for community development initiatives and to support the overall Fair Trade Movement.
15 Years of Love Crunch and $50 Million Donated
What truly sets Love Crunch Granola apart is its Bite4Bite giveback program. Each year, with a portion of Love Crunch proceeds, Nature’s Path donates a minimum of USD $2 million worth of organic food to food banks in Canada and the United States. The program is the core of the brand's identity, allowing customers to make a meaningful impact every time they purchase Love Crunch.
The incredible journey the brand has taken over 15 years is inspiring. As we celebrate, we are pleased to share that Love Crunch’s Bite4Bite program has now donated over CAD $50 million worth of organic food to food banks across Canada and the US. And to recognize Arjan & Rimjhim’s, and Love Crunch’s 15th anniversary, this year, in addition to our $2 million worth of food donation, we are giving 150,000 meals to four local food banks in Vancouver, Chicago, Sussex, and Blaine – totaling 600,000 meals.
These contributions have helped provide millions of meals to people facing hunger, and it's a testament to our unwavering dedication to leaving the earth better than we found it. Over the last 15 years, Love Crunch’s sales have played a crucial role in helping food banks support communities in need, especially in times of crisis, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic when demand for food assistance skyrocketed.
