Vegan and plant based diets are more popular than ever – and for good reason. Whether an environmentalist, or a believer in animal rights – people are eventually swayed to to the side of plant based by two glaring facts: 1. animal agriculture is the number one cause of climate change; and 2. animals suffer.
PLANTS HAVE PROTEIN
It’s been said that even some vegetarians are getting too much protein these days. Protein is a macronutrient and is found is basically ALL foods – not just meat (or foods like soy). Make sure you’re eating a variety of nuts, seeds, grains and legumes in addition to a ton of veggies every day and you’ll get more than enough protein as a vegan.
