Leapin’ Lemurs® Baked Apples Recipe

Ingredients
- 4 Empire apples
- 1 cup (250 mL) EnviroKidz Leapin' Lemurs Cereal
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) honey
- 1 tsp (5 mL) ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Using melon baller, scoop out apple cores to create 1-inch (2.5 cm) wide cavity in centre of each apple.
- Place apples on parchment paper–lined baking sheet.
- Combine Leapin’ Lemurs® cereal, walnuts, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg; fill apples with mixture.
- Cover loosely with foil; bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove foil and continue baking for 10 minutes or until apples are tender and cereal mixture is golden brown.
