This Year, Together – We Made a Difference

As we wrap up another incredible year, Nature's Path Organic Foods is proud to reflect on our milestones in product innovation, our ongoing commitment to organic agriculture, giving back, and community engagement. From introducing exciting new products that align with our sustainability mission to launching the first Certified Organic Breakfast School Program in the United States—feeding nearly 13,000 students every daywe prioritized supporting both the health of our planet and the well-being of those who need it most. We’ve continued to deepen our impact through initiatives both old and new, fueling a brighter food future. Join us as we look back at a year filled with meaningful progress and exciting growth.

Deliciously Better for You and the Earth

2024 saw continued innovation for Nature’s Path with an exciting array of new products catering to evolving consumer preferences while staying true to our purpose of leaving the Earth better than we found it. One of the most notable developments this year is our Regenerative Organic Certified  Oatmeal line, available in Berries & Cream and Dark Chocolate & Cocoa. This oatmeal embodies our dedication to regenerative organic agriculture, a farming method that works in harmony with nature to restore soil health and reverse climate change. These oatmeal’s showcase oats grown through Nature’s Path’s first-of-a-kind Regenerative Organic Oats Program (ROO) Program helping farmers use regenerative organic practices that promote biodiversity, improve soil health, and capture carbon in the ground.

This year, Nature’s Path and Canadian Organic Growers (COG) celebrated a successful third year of the ROO Program and steady progress toward the goal of empowering 25 ROO farmers across the grain-growing prairies farming approximately 15,000 regenerative organic acres.

As consumers continue to place the health of their families & the planet at the forefront of the decisions they make in the grocery store aisle, Nature's Path’s commitment to organic & regenerative organic agriculture offers a tangible way for them to make a positive impact.

Growing our portfolio further while understanding the demand for versatile and wholesome ingredients, Nature's Path introduced five new organic flours in 2024. These flours – including all-purpose, whole wheat, baker’s blend, gluten free, and keto – offer consumers the ability to bake, cook, and create with ease while choosing product alternatives that meet their evolving needs. Not only is the zip-close packaging a preferable alternative to traditional sacks of flour, but it’s recyclable at store drop off locations!

We heard your requests loud and clear and created an extension of our cult favorite Panda Puffs! Red Panda Puffs is our newest EnviroKidz flavor and offers a combination of organic peanut butter and strawberry crunchy whole grain corn puffs that will have you eating it right out of the box. For each box of EnviroKidz cereal sold, a portion of sales are donated to support endangered species, habitat conservation, and environmental education for kids worldwide. Since the introduction of EnviroKidz in 2000, Nature’s Path has donated over $5 million to these organizations.

In addition to Red Panda Puffs, Monarch Magic, delicious corn puffs made with organic cinnamon, was created as part of our USDA Certified Organic School Breakfast Program. This new offering also reflects our continued dedication to preserving the environment, as we partner with the Xerces Society to support the protection of pollinators, including the iconic monarch butterfly.

School Breakfast Program Nourishes Body and Mind

The launch of our USDA Certified Organic School Breakfast Program was one of Nature’s Path’s most impactful initiatives this year, helping to combat food insecurity in schools throughout California. Created with goal of making delicious, nutrient-rich organic foods more accessible to children, the program is a partnership with Conscious Kitchen and West Contra Costa Unified School District Nutrition Services in California.

Currently, Nature’s Path is serving two gluten-free, organic EnviroKidz breakfast cereals to over 200 schools in 20 school districts throughout California. Both Choco Chimps and Monarch Magic are made with nutrient-dense, whole grains and only six grams of sugar, while also avoiding the use of synthetic fertilizers and toxic pesticides. Not only do these cereals offer students health benefits that can nourish development, but they also promote the importance of healthy, sustainable food choices at an early age.

Since kicking off in April 2024, the program has already provided thousands of students with wholesome, organic meals, ensuring they’re fueled up and ready to thrive in the classroom. And the best part? We’re growing! More California schools are joining the program each week, and we’re expanding to Minnesota, Colorado, and New Mexico soon. We’re thrilled to help students across the country start their days the right way as we head into the new year.

Giving Back One Bite at a Time

We continued to make a difference through our signature give-back programs including Gardens For Good, Bite4Bite, and It Gets Better. These initiatives aim to support communities, promote food security, and raise awareness for important causes, while also educating our consumers on these programs

This year, Nature’s Path donated $7,500 each to 15 gardens through its Gardens For Good: Plant it Forward program. Gardens For Good empowers local communities, often in food insecure areas, to grow their own fresh & healthy organic food and increase food access & security for their families. Since 2012, Gardens For Good has donated more than $930,000, supporting 120 organic community gardens in both the U.S. and Canada and positioning Nature’s Path to exceed its commitment of donating more than $1 million to organic community gardens by 2028. By investing in local organic agriculture, we are joining together to foster long-term change and strengthen the food security of underserved communities, support urban farming, and create a positive social impact. And for the first time in the program’s history, 100% of the 2024 Gardens for Good: Plant it Forward grant recipients were BIPOC-led or serving organizations.

Giving back has always been an essential part of the Love Crunch Granola story at Nature’s Path. Through the Bite4Bite Love Crunch program, we support food banks and charities across North America and have donated at least $2 million worth of organic food every year for all Love Crunch products sold. In 2024 alone, we donated over $3 million worth of food to local food banks in Canada and the U.S.

Additionally, Nature’s Path Love Crunch brand announced a partnership with the It Gets Better Project (IGBP) in celebration of National Coming Out Day. The IGBP is on a mission to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe. Love Crunch contributed $15,000 in cash and product donations to It Gets Better in support of programming that reaches millions of young LGBTQ+ people each year through inspiring media initiatives, educational resources, and access to an arsenal of community-based service providers.

Seeds of Change at the Community Level

At Nature’s Path, we’re all about making the world a better place – and that starts at the community level. Through a mix of financial contributions, in-kind donations, and hands-on volunteering, we’re always looking for ways to give back. Whether it’s supporting hunger relief, advocating for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI), or championing environmental sustainability and education, we’re involved in initiatives that make a difference from the ground up.

This year, we trailblazed a new partnership with the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) through our Que Pasa Summer Bummer Insurance campaign. As part of the program, participants could “claim” their bummer experience for a chance to win a redo – with each “claim” submitted, Que Pasa donated $10 CAD to CPAWS, to support conservation efforts and raise awareness about the importance of protecting Canada’s natural landscapes to enjoy for future summers to come. In all, more than $50,000 CAD was raised to support CPAWS.

Additionally, in 2024 we raised over $15,000 through our Team Member Donation Matching Program to support a variety of important causes. And it’s not just about donationsit’s about action too. Our employees volunteered an incredible 1,200 hours this year, rolling up their sleeves to help food banks, community gardens, environmental clean-ups, and more. With our Volunteer Recognition Program, we make sure everyone has the chance to get involved in causes they care about, creating a ripple effect of positive change wherever we go. At Nature’s Path, we believe that change starts with our team members who are on the forefront of making that happen.
