LOVE CRUNCH ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH THE IT GETS BETTER PROJECT
Organic Breakfast and Snack Brand Joins IGBP On a Mission To Uplift and Support LGBTQ+ Youth Communities
Richmond, B.C. (October 11, 2023) - Today, in celebration of National Coming Out Day, beloved organic granola and snack brand Love Crunch is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the It Gets Better Project (IGBP) - the 501c3 non-profit on a mission to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe.
Love, acceptance and inclusion have long been cornerstones of the Love Crunch brand and giving back is at the core of everything they do, donating a minimum of $2 million worth of food every year to food banks in North America. Deepening this commitment, Love Crunch will be contributing $15,000 in cash and product donations to It Gets Better in support of programming that reaches millions of young LGBTQ+ people each year through inspiring media initiatives, educational resources and access to an arsenal of community-based service providers.
To continue amplifying the work of It Gets Better beyond this donation, Love Crunch will also be sharing enlightening and empowering content across the Nature’s Path Organic Foods brand’s social channels (the parent brand for Love Crunch and the largest, independent organic cereal and snack brand in North America), opening up their platform to embrace the organization’s mission as their own. On a corporate level, Love Crunch will also work closely with It Gets Better to offer learning opportunities for their own team members including programming such as “Lunch and Learns” and Ally Training to encourage authentic allyship.
“Beyond producing organic food that's better for people and the planet, Love Crunch is dedicated to giving back and spreading the love in all we do,” says Nature’s Path Organic Foods’ President and Love Crunch Co-Founder, Arjan Stephens. “We are proud to partner with It Gets Better and continue to use our voices as allies to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community.”
At Love Crunch, to lead with passion and purpose is a year-round endeavor. On an ongoing basis, Love Crunch contributes in-kind product donations to smaller, grass-roots LGBTQ+ charities, making sure their members and program participants are well nourished and fueled with organic food and snacks. During Pride Month, Love Crunch has also historically partnered with organizations such as The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people, to provide funding, product and community support.
In addition to the brand’s ongoing support of LGBTQ+ organizations, Love Crunch donates a minimum of $2 million worth of food every year to food banks in North America through Nature’s Path Organic Foods’ Bite4Bite Program.
